Edgeworth hadn't moved when the Corinthian repositioned himself. With his gaze held patiently on the ceiling as he waited, he didn't see what was coming until it had him, tightly bound and suddenly under the nightmare's power.
He couldn't quite help his initial reaction. The memory of the original Corinthian's introduction to the community flashed, unbidden and unwanted, through his mind, and in spite of his best attempts there were a few moments in which his breathing noticeably quickened and a hint of fear flickered in his eyes.
Thankfully, he recovered almost immediately. When he went to test his bonds, there was no urgency in the gesture, only curiosity.
