Of course, in his position there really wasn't much he could do about any irritating or frustrating thing his partner wanted to do to him (short of the unspeakably cruel route of shutting this whole thing down, giving him the impression that Edgeworth didn't approve of his...adventurous side), but the nightmare didn't need to know that.
